"I grew up eating Aunt Barb's pickles and just loved them. At no time did I ever think to ask how to make them so I could do it myself. Then a couple summers ago, my brother Neil went and learned how to make the pickles and it dawned on me that I too could make them myself. So the next year I went along and learned how to make Barb's pickles. They are the best pickles I have ever had and are nearly impossible to keep in the house. As a result, I decided to make many more then my family could eat and share them with everyone I knew.

I was encouraged to market and sell them in 2005, so the summer of 2006 I decided to do just that. I thought long and hard to come up with a suitable name for my delicious pickles and after going back and forth many times, I chose the only name that would honor the woman that originally made the pickles. As a young girl, Aunt Barb learned how to make the pickles from her mother, Florence Nordell. In honor of Florence and her awesome pickles, I named my pickles F. M. Nordell Gourmet Pickles. I hope you enjoy these pickles as much as I have." Tracy Rossell
